The Oak Tree Inn is a North Yorkshire Inn set in the beautiful village of Helperby Brafferton.
What appears at first sight to be one village with two names, is most decidedly two villages. Which name comes first depends on from which direction you enter the villages, or in which one you live.
The Inn has undergone an enormous refurbishment and building programme which has taken over two years in the planning. With the ‘new life’ given to the premises, The Oak Tree now offers guests a wonderfully spacious traditional bar, stocked with local beers, hand pulled ales and a considered wine list. This is a relaxed and informal area for informal dining and drinking. The new barn extension is a light filled space, looking back onto the rear courtyard, ideal for friends and family to gather for formal or informal occasions.
Located on the first floor, the expansive double ended private dining room and sitting room with a double sided wood-burning stove and balcony is the ultimate party room. Seating 16 guests very comfortably, this elegant space is ideal in winter or summer for dinners & lunches, cocktail parties, family gatherings and any host of occasions.
As for the accommodation, there are five double bedrooms in the main pub and one exterior bedroom available as a twin or a double. Each of the six bespoke rooms has been carefully designed and furnished to offer guests a comfortable, relaxing and restorative stay.
